Welcome to Dockyard for a good night's sleep. Pack your bags and take the train, car, boat or tram to us at Nya Varvet.
You will always get a peaceful and wonderful stay in a fantasic sea enviroment.
In the main building are our superior and deluxe rooms as well as a lovely suite. In our side buildings, we have our standard rooms for up to 5 people for those of you who travel with the whole family.
And of course, your pets are welcome as well.
Just let the reception know in advance.
We have free parking in the area, the only thing you need to do is register your car in the iPad that we have in the reception when you check in!
We also have 4 fenced places for SEK 130 per day.

Our popular lunch is served Monday to Friday between 11:30 and 13:30.
In the evening is it of course fine to book a 3-course dinner for groups of at least 20 people.
If you want to enjoy the sun at the terrace, we always serve a classic shrimp sandwich and our bar menu every day of the week.

Dockyard Hotel
Dockyard Hotel is located in a beautiful setting close to the sea on the historic Nya Varvet just outside Gothenburg city.
The hotel consists of 3 buildings where the reception, restaurant, conference room and 40 hotel rooms are in our main building and the rest of the rooms are in the house right next door.
During the early 18th century, the area was used as Örloghamn and later in the 19th century, the city's central prison was built where many have served their time or performed forced labor. The old barracks, which used to be cells and military stores, are today modern hotel rooms on floors with a view of the park or the harbor. At the beginning of the 20th century, the penitentiary was dismantled and moved to Härlanda in the eastern parts of the city, and the coastal artillery took the buildings back and converted them into accommodation for the soldiers. Since 1985, Nya Varvet has been privately owned by Källfelt Byggnads AB.
Today it is a green area where we run a hotel, padel hall and event venue. In the area there are several nice walks and cycle paths in to the city or out towards Saltholmen. If you want to play padel, you book your time at matchi.se or via the reception and if you visit us by boat, you contact us for a guest spot.
We are here with tips and ideas on what you can do in the area and much other fun that Gothenburg offers.
The entire area offers free parking and if you need to charge your electric car before going home, there are several electric car chargers available via the chargenode app.
For free parking during your stay, register your registration number in the panel at reception upon check-in.
